Costumes, map packs, cars, those are just a few of the downloadable content you find for games. I love playing on new levels or adding content to my games. But I have noticed that there has been more and more DLC happening within the first week or even the first day. Why is this not into the game to begin with? It was content that was obviously suppose to be in the game, as it was even worked on during the time frame of developing the game.

It is my pleasure as a writer to occasionally throw the spotlight on exceptional things made by fans for fans. Even when true heart and soul has been put into a piece, fan media rarely gets the credit it deserves. The Baroness' Choice is a weekly column that will feature these labors of love. Last week I featured an incredible fanfilm Philanthropy.

This week I'm looking at a certain youtuber who put together an excellent Persona fan trailer.

In honor of my 42nd post - the answer to life, the universe, and everything -  I thought I'd take a look at all the interactive media associated with my favorite book series! The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy has a rich history covering a wide variety of media. From comic books to radio dramas, the series even had some game adaptations. Although most of the games are older and consist of text based adventures, they're still clever and challenging. They're definitely something that people into that sort of thing should check out.

Gaming Apparel is becoming more and more popular in today's society. Gamers love the idea of sporting their favorite games on their clothes and accessories. From t-shirts to hats, to everything in between, Gaming Apparel has taken us by storm and is not looking back. With so many different games, and more coming out all the time. The gaming apparel industry doesn't look like it will run short of any ideas any time soon.

What does America do for holidays? We light fireworks or indulge in excessive amounts of food or buy chocolates for our sweeties to show we care once a year instead of just showing it every day. What does Japan do? Oh, nothing. They just make life sized gundams that could probably level with the seven wonders of the world.

Last week I featured Savage Land Pictures's photoshoot starring none other than our favorite runner, Faith from Mirror's Edge. This week's feature is an excellent film by die hard Kojima fans, Philanthropy.

Hope your 4th is full of great food, fun times, and lots of happiness. From us to you, Happy 4th of July.

I was just a special guest on GamePro's video podcast, Thirsty Thursdays, which is a beer-fueled podcast about games. I love these guys, they are some of the most fun and silliest guys to hang out with. I had a great time shooting this with them and I hope to be asked to back again in the future.

Also, please check out a recent interview I did over at ResumePlay.net. K thanks!

Robin Burkinshaw, a game design student from the UK, decided to not only experiment with the beloved Sim's free will in the Sims 3, but decided to blog about it. His blog, http://aliceandkev.wordpress.com/ , is all about two Sims, Kev and Alice, a homeless father-daughter combination, with personal traits that clash. In his attempt to recreate the poverty challenge idea from The Sims 2, he stumbled across more than he imagined due to one of the game's key features, the living neighborhood.

In Robin's blog he recaps these two Sims every day lives. Due to how well the Sims, in their 3rd title, interact without your help, they are able to establish some heartfelt stories. Robin not only recreates what he has played with screen shots and meticulous detail, but he gives his personal reactions to what happens when he stops helping this struggling family.

His blog has become more than just a little experiment. There are a ton of readers, who like myself, have come to wait on his updates just to see how Kev and Alice are doing. Be sure to read all about Kev and Alice in his blog on WordPress.
