GamePro has decided to focus their attention on the main site: GamePro.com. This sadly means as of today they are closing all their blogfaction sites, GameGirl included. We can't thank you the readers enough. You are the reason we wrote, who we wrote for. Thank you so much.

The past two years working with all current and past girls on GameGirl.com have ben some of the best years. Every girl who has been a part of the site are wonderful and it would be my pleasure to work with any of them again. Managing GameGirl has been so much more than just a job to me, it's been a great adventure and this site was my baby. I loved watching it grow and I have all of the other GameGirls and our readers to thank for that. Thank you to GamePro for this experience and opportunity. Thank you Nikole, Ashley, Janessa, Nixie, Chelsea, Jess, Heather and JesV for everything! Loved working with you girls and I am thankful for the friendships that have come from these past 2 years. Most of all, thank you to all of our readers. We had some of the best readers here, thanks for your support!!

I have to admit I was in shock when I found out last night we were being shut down. Writing for GameGirl over the past years has been an amazing experience. And in the most clichéd way possible it’s opened up so many doors for me and has taught me so much. Because of GameGirl I now know what it is I want to do when I grow up, which should happen in a few years. I’m going to miss writing for you every week. Thanks to all the girls who have made this so rewarding. I’ll still be writing for TheStartScreen.com and my own blog NikoleZ.com or watch me on The Game Show. You can follow me on twitter at NikoleZ. Thanks so much.

It is truly sad to see GameGirl and the rest of the Blog Faction sites come to an end. I honestly imagined GameGirl would be around for much longer. It has been such a pleasure working with GameGirl and I have enjoyed every moment from the positive comments to heated debates. I just want to thank GamePro for such a great opportunity because I have made some wonderful friends. I have worked with some of the coolest chicks I've ever met. Not only have these girls becomes friends I plan to keep but YOU have as well! Yes, you... the readers. I talk to some of you on a regular basis and you guys have truly made all the writing and work worth it. If you would like to keep up with anything I'll be doing from here on out, you can read my personal blog: gogoroflcopter.com and follow me @gogoroflcopter. Thanks again everyone, it has been a fun year and half experience... and keep in touch!

Here's my goodbye paragraph (sorry it's not-so-little >.<): Well, the day has come. I have to admit I didn't think it would be so soon. My time here at GameGirl was rather short, but I feel like I still made an impact. I guess instead of saying goodbyes, I will say thank yous. So first: thank you to GamePro for letting me be apart of your universe, sending me to E3 and even publishing one of my responses to ATGG. Second: thank you to all the GameGirls, specifically Raychul and Nikole, without whom none of this would have happened. You were all awesome. Lastly: thank you to all our wonderful readers. It was because of you guys that I went out looking for the best stuff I could find, so you would have something unique to read from a silly girl who plays video games. Your comments were what made all of it worth it in the end. I will miss GameGirl a lot, but I will look ahead-- I'm definitely far from done! Please feel free to add me on any of the following!MySpace,Twitter, Raptr.

I honestly am speechless at this point, Gamegirl has provided countless opportunities for me to experience things I know I would not have otherwise. I remember being so stoked when I was picked to be added to the site, and it has been something that I've been proud of ever since. It saddens me greatly to know that my journey with gamepro/gamegirl has come to an end. I loved meeting all these amazing women who shared my interests, I've had so much fun with all of you!! I want to thank everyone who saw any kind of potential, especially Nikole and Raychul, and I truly appreciate each and every fan of the site. Please don't hesitate to keep in touch, hopefully this won't be the last you hear of me.

Today is a sad day indeed, with the recent news that Gamepro was shutting down their entire blogfaction network. I've been a writer here at Gamegirl for nearly a year, and I must say it was a ton of fun. Even though it was a huge effort to keep updated, and improve my writing I enjoyed every minute of it. It gave me to opportunity to attend some amazing events and meet some cool fellow game girls. I appreciate ever comment and every kind word that was given to me by our readers. Thank you guys for everything. I will miss this site! You can keep updated with my going ons if you'd like over at: http://twitter.com/TheeBaroness

Writing has always been a great passion of mine, and I have been blessed to be a writer here for about a year and a half now. Video games and writing, two of my favorite passions combined into an awesome site - GameGirl. I have met a wonderful group of ladies, and have seen many go on to other endeavors. Unfortunately with GamePro shutting the doors, I am forced to say good-bye to a wonderful part of my life. I will forever remember all the ladies I have met, as well as the wonderful readers who have commented on my posts. Thanks to IDGE Entertainment and GamePro Media for their faith in me to help contribute to this wonderful site. You can keep in touch with me on: TWITTER: MYSPACE: RAPT: ggladyluck Xbox Live: Ladyluck NX - If you do send a friend request to Ladyluck NX, please send a message with it so I know who you are. I will miss the site greatly, and it is definitely a sad sad day for all of us here at GameGirl.

Though I am a newbie to this site, I quickly became attached to my fellow Gamegirls and our readers. I can't pretend to have put as much time and effort into maintaining this site as you ladies have. You are one awesome group of charming, beautiful and capable women. Knowing this it makes it all the more difficult to say goodbye and I wish I didn't have to. We don't have much information yet as to why Gamepro is making this decision, but what is completely certain is that I will miss every one of your writings and comments. Follow me on Twitter or at my blog if you'd like to keep in contact with me. Until then, keep your faces to the sunshine, ~ Nixie

It's been a great run at GameGirl. I always thought the site was so amazing to share with ladies that carry the same passion for gaming as myself. I can't work with you ladies in any other markets since we are so far apart from each other and it is unfortunate. I thank every lady from gamegirl and our readers for their remarkable support. It means more than you know. If you are interested in keeping up with my future endevors, please follow me on twitter.com/jesv This is just a hump in the road, but it isn't the last stop. Thank you.
