Yes, you heard me right. Atari, who’s also behind the recently released Ghostbusters: The Video Game, has announced that with the help of Weinstein Company will make a Project Runway video game. Set to release in 2010, the game is targeted to help the fans of the show get a more realistic feel while still using the format of the TV show.
Players will compete in different challenges and create designs for their models, and just like the show you will also decide makeup and hair options. You can also take charge of the models and strut down the runway using the Balance board.
Just as any Project Runway fan knows, the game wouldn’t be complete without its cast. As expected Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn are expected to be a part of the game, but nothing is set in stone. Details are still in the works. The first of the series is to launch on the Nintendo Wii using the Wii Remote and the Balance Board.
All I have to say is WOW! Really! Don’t get me wrong I know fashion and design are a big part of our society and have many followers. However, when I heard about this game, the first thing that came to mind was “Are they running out of video game ideas or just milking the already established ideas for all their worth?” Only time will tell how well how well the game will do, but my question for you is: What’s your opinion: good idea or bad idea?
