Rumors:

Sources tell Kotaku that any where from 200 to 300 people could be loosing their jobs in a massive Square Enix layoff in Japan. No word on whether the layoffs will dip into the Square Enix's newly acquired Eidos or Taito.

-Team ICO's Fumito Ueda has alluded in several interviews that Ico and Shadow of the Colossus could be getting the PS3 treatment.

"Initially, I didn't want to consider that. I always thought they were designed for PS2 and should stay there. But lately, I've been thinking it would be nice to provide the games to other platforms to reach more users."

-A recent posting on LinkedIn hints at the sequel to Dead Space is going into production. EA senior recruiter Jeff Ballard's page says "The game is in the later stages of pre-production, ready for production in the next few months, with many of the navigational and combat mechanics in place." This could mean we will be seeing the game on shelves much earlier than expected.
