As PAX opens doors to attendees, simultaneously on the opposite coast Ignition hosts a special event of their own. Taking place on Sept 5th, 2009 at the Nintendo World store in New York city, Ignition hosts a release party for the upcoming Wii title, Muramasa: the Demon Blade.

With the interior decorated like feudal Japan, Nintendo World and Ignition celebrate the release of Vanillaware's newest title. From developers responsible for Odin Sphere and GrimGrimoire, Muramasa is a sidescrolling action adventure in gorgeous hand painted 2D graphics. To commemorate this special event customers were treated with many goodies. The perks included being able to buy the game before its streetside release date, with each copy complete with special gifts - a limited edition t-shirt, tattoos, postcards, and a beautiful wallscroll.

Also at the event, cosplayers dressed as characters from the game performing skits. There were also photo stages were you could get your picture taken, autograph signings, and Kanji stations where you could get your name written in Calligraphy.

I would have loved to have gone to this but one can't be in two places at once, you know? Or can you...
