Crytek may be crying soon, as Germany officials may completely ban violent video games period. Of course, this poses as an issue and could completely ruin jobs for hundreds of workers. Crytek president and co-founder to PC Games Germany, Cevat Yerli, was quoted saying:

"A ban on action games in Germany is concerning us because it is essentially like banning the German artists that create them. If the German creative community can't effectively participate in one of the most important cultural mediums of our future, we will be forced to relocate to other countries."

Germany's strict laws may actually lead to the banning of violent games in the entire country. For more information, click here.

hopefully they move here to Phoenix to bring in more video game jobs that would be awesome.

I don't blame them. They have that freaky crazy german porn but video games are not ok? That is stupid.

great article Rini :-D

wow being in Germany must be like being living in North Korea or being in a consentration cam....okay point made anyway

But Germany reactions to guns and violence virtual or not are not surprising. however when will they learn that banning it does not stop it in fact it sorta sex-a-phies it? Underground gaming? sweaty german nerdz playing illegal games? oh okay maybe not. however if you don't ban it you can control it say the player must be 18+ and put fines on the people that buy it for kids like with achool (though less strict) there are plenty of other better options Germany could have taken.

It is true though, video games like all media do effect people good or bad.
