Valve isn't ignoring their promise to bring new DLC to Left 4 Dead. A new pack, Crash Course, announced today, brings players a new single player, multiplayer and co-operative mode. The DLC patch is due this September. That's next month so quit your whining.

Crash Course is designed to close the gap left from the end of "No Mercy" to the beginning of "Death Toll." As a self-proclaimed hardcore Left 4 Dead fan, I have to admit I feel a little ashamed I didn't know that there was supposed to be some type of connection between all the different campaigns.

Crash Course will also focus on improving Versus mode. The intended goal is to deliver a "complete Versus mode experience in just  30 minutes." Another new edition is the recharge timer for infected teammates. Look for item re-spawn mechanics, new Survival maps, and more this September.

The DLC will be free for PC players and retail for 560 MS points on the XBOX 360. Still no word when Microsoft will let you use money increments not made up MS points. The pack will cost $7 in IRL money.

Yay! This announcement made me very happy. I didn't know there was supposed to be a connection between No Mercy Death Toll either.
