News had already begun buzzing about BioShock 2, the games release date had been announced for November 3rd and it was already one of the most anticipated games for this holiday season. Announced today was the delay of BioShock 2 until an undetermined date in 2010.

Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick was quoted saying, "We concluded that moving the release of BioShock 2 into fiscal year 2010 was the right decision for the product. We believe the result will be a more compelling consumer experience and a better performing product in the marketplace."

Also announced to be delayed until 2010 was Mafia 2, Max Payne 3, and Red Dead Redemption.

Focusing on a titles quality is always most important. I would rather a company delay a game to guarantee its quality than to rush it out just to sweep up all of the holiday cash flow. Looks like I will just have to be happy with my Beatles Rock Band and Uncharted 2 until BioShock 2 hits the store shelves in 2010.

I agree, more development time is never a bad thing, plus take two has to make sure Bio Shock 2 lives up to the expectations, of the original Bio shock. this just give gamers another reason to look forward to 2010, what a year that's turning out to be for gaming. besides Uncharted 2 is going to keep everyone busy this coming holidays

i already pre order the game

i can't wait for Modern Warfare2
