The 4th of July, what a splendid holiday. Time for swashbuckling and kicking back a bit of ale as we also celebrate a video game we've waited nearly a decade for will be arriving in 3 days!
That's right, lads and lasses, Monkey Island is finally back in all their gun-toting glory with a release date set for July 7th and all the three-headed monkeys they can carry.

Now, walk the plank and "Read More" for my video impressions of this highly anticipated adventure game. Arrrr!

Textual Healing:
Telltale writes on July 1st,
"Telltale's Tales of Monkey Island brings the adventures of pirate Guybrush Threepwood into a new era with an explosive storyline that becomes deeper and more entangled during the course of the five-episode saga. While battling his nemesis, the evil pirate LeChuck, Guybrush accidentally unleashes an insidious voodoo pox that threatens to transform the buccaneers of the Caribbean into unruly pirate monsters. Players will experience the humor, romance, and swashbuckling action the Monkey Island games are famous for and unravel an insidious plot which is revealed across the course of the series. Tales of Monkey Island is set to premiere on PC and WiiWare in the coming weeks."
This news brings hope for those gamers who crave the true "adventure" feel. Since the episodic evidence of Sam & Max, one is certain; if anyone can pull off one of the most highly anticipated pure adventure games, it would be these guys.
Hope this little gem in the treasure chest of games will give you that spring in your step this independence day. Happy 4th!
