So this week marks the newest in Wii accessories with the Wi-Bowl. The new item is just as it sounds, a wii bowling ball. The newest add on for the Wii has 6 removable bowling ball finger plugs, a tightening wrist strap, and the ball itself that will hold the Wii Remote. It will also work with the Wii Motion Plus.
Although an interesting addition to the accessory market, it does provide a realistic feel, and is the first of its kind to be made after a real bowling ball. The operation is simple. You press the release button to open the ball in half, where you will then place the remote, and close the ball. Once the remote is set in place, plug the three holes with your fingers just like a real bowling ball, Make sure to where the wrist strap securely, and bowl to your heart’s content.
The ironic thing for me is the accessory itself, and one thought comes to mind: “Just how many TVs will get broken with this?” I remember many people complaining about flying remote controls when they did not use the wrist strap. Now they want to use a bowling ball!?! Well, don't get any ideas, CTA Digital, Inc. has stated:
"CTA Digital, Inc. is not and will not be held responsible for any damages resulting from the bowling ball attachment,"
Although not surprising, it is a statement that needs to be made. :)
It will be compatible for the following Wii games:
- Wii sports
- Brunswick Pro Bowling
- Ten Pin Alley 2
- AMF Bowling: World Lanes
- AMF Bowling: Pinbusters!
- Any other Wii Bowling games that require the Wii Remote
