So Max Payne 2 wasn't as good as the first, and I have my reservations for the third. These new screenshots released by Rockstar on Tuesday make me rather hesitant about this game being called Max Payne. I am not too sure about the new character design at all, this guy is not the Max Payne I remember. Max Payne was an average looking guy who lost his mind after losing his family, not some steroid-junkie Nathan Drake wanna-be. Even the art style is completely different and is not the same gritty, dark city from the past games; instead the envirnoment is more of a jungle setting. Max Payne was about comic-book cutscenes and had this whole film noir look and feel to the entire game. This new Max Payne looks suspiciously a lot like Uncharted.
I don't know, maybe this shouldn't be called "Max Payne" at all, but instead be a new standalone game. I am excited about for this, but not about it being called a new Max Payne title.
In Max Payne 3, we will now be able to duel-weild weapons and the story will be talking place 12 years after the last game. Max now works as a securtiy officer for a local wealthy family in his new home of Brazil.

Max Payne 3 is being developed by Rockstar Vancover and will be available on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
