Overlord 2 is scheduled for a June 23rd release date and the idea behind the game is to decide to "be evil or to be really evil". I love the original Overlord and the re-release called Overlord: Raising Hell, but Overlord 2 is the first game to ever make me uncomfortable with the content and the actions that I will be expected to playthrough. Clubbing baby white seals into a bloody mess and slaughtering panda bears is one thing, but then wearing their decapitated heads as helmets and trophies takes it to a whole new level. Yes, I know we did that in the first game with other animals like sheep to gain their "lifeforce", but Overlord 2 has definitely stepped it up by quite a few notches.
I am by no means an animal activist and I am usually not bothered by shooting animals or kicking chickens in video games, it is just a game after all. There is just something about killing the baby seals and pandas in such a way that strikes a cord with me. So, with all that being said, I am not sure yet if I will be picking this game up right away, I really do want to play it and I am still excited for it's release. I am just not sure about beating virtual animals to death just yet. Am I alone in this or am I just being crazy?
