Hey GameGirls,
I'm an avid fan of girls in gaming. I've been watching the WCG Ultimate Gamer and wanted to know what your thoughts are on the gamers who made the show. Do you agree they should be there or do you think some were chosen just to add drama?
Thanks,
WCGTournyFan7

I think the entire show is a horrible attempt at exploiting gaming culture for mainstream consumption. It's degrading to those who actual view it as an artist medium. Gaming shouldn't be turned into a thinly veiled guise for another trite reality show. Sci-fi Channel is just grabbing desperately to replace the ratings lost by Battlestar's ending. I choose not to watch it or pay any attention to this poor excuse for television.

I somewhat dislike the WCG Ultimate Gamer show...I think it should be called the Ultimate Xbox Gamer instead since all they do is play Xbox 360 games. I don't think it was fair of them to put a PC gamer into a competition of only 360 games, and I also think the show is quite cheesy. I don't mind ther drama, when you put people into a competition and then make them all live together, there will always be drama, no way around it. It's a cute watch, but I do hope that they do not make a second season.

Hey WCGTournyfan7, I think for the most part they picked a good group but it seems they definitely considered how well known some of the gamers were. I wouldn't say any of them were chosen to add drama but it is a reality television show and drama what would those be without drama? I think the show has been really good so far and is definitely worth watching. It may not be a completely accurate representation of all gamers but its definitely a start and hopefully they will have another season.

I haven't really been watching the show too religiously but i definitely think that robert was picked for a little more than his gaming talents, he seems like the kind of person who could easily cause drama with his confidence haha. Other than that i think the other gamers deserve to be there, at least according to the 1.5 episodes i've seen thus far.

I'm not going to lie, part of reality TV is drama or conflict. However, I do not feel they put people on their just to fight. Just having 12 gamers placed into a confined space without outside contact. Someone is bound to get on another's nerves.
I love the WCG Ultimate Gamer show, and have watched it every Tuesday night. I think they have done an excellent job with the selection of the cast. Each person chosen was put on their for a reason. Whether it was holding multiple world records in gaming (Robert), or for having tournament wins in different genres (Ciji). Each gamer had to prove they had the skillz to be on the show. I hope they create another season, as I would definitely watch it.
What are some of your game suggestions?
