Rumors:

-A mole at Ars Technica is saying that the Xbox 360 Elite models may be getting a makeover. The new set will come with the same Xbox but with two of the hottest games for it: Fable 2 and Halo 3. Consider it the ultimate Microsoft starter kit. Adding the two games to the package should cost an extra $100 but no charge would be added. The current Elite price of $400 would stay the same.

According to DigitalBattle.com Deadline Games may be in trouble of going under. The video game developers may face bankruptcy if the company doesn't land a a paying job soon. The fact that their most recent game, Watchmen: The End is Nigh, was less then amazing, much less actually, doesn't help either.
-A new job listing has been posted on Gamasutra.com. The listing is for Netflix and they are seeking a "Engineering Leader -- Gaming Platforms". This could mean several things but the consensus on the internet is that Netflix is either going to try their hand at streaming games or this is yet another indicator that Netflix wants to expend it's movie service to other consoles, mainly the PS3.

The Buzz:
It's often the case that a company will send out promotional material for their upcoming titles. EA decided to send out something different to promote their new game, The Godfather 2. They sent out brass knuckles. Brass knuckles happen to be illegal in many states, including California, where EA is based out of.
EA has since learned of their error and has been trying to get the weapons/shwag back. Representatives from EA have been calling the recipients trying to confirm that the knuckles were properly disposed of. No word on whether or not EA might be facing charges for sending out illegal contraband.
Announcements:
