Everyone loves free swag. This summer, Pepsi and Rock Band are teaming up for a promotion that will last fifteen weeks. If you drink Pepsi and like playing Rock Band, there is no better time to indulge in both. Not only is there free stuff, but there's an excess of it. Click to find out more details!

Rock Band has thrilled and captivated thousands of players in its short lifespan. Part of the reason people were so intrigued was because Rock Band offered something that Guitar Hero had not-- Downloadable content. Being able to pick and choose your music library is a pretty big deal, and makes a big difference when you spend as much time playing as I do. Individually, each song costs about $2 or $3. That's a cheeseburger. Or part of a tip you give to that cute waitress. Regardless of the expense, free is always better.
With this summer's promotion, the rules are simple. Buy a Pepsi in your local convenient store, Wal Mart, etc. and if there's one of the four Rock Band instrument symbols under the cap, you win a free downloadable song! It's that easy. It's not difficult to win, because Pepsi is giving out 10,000 free songs per day! That's roughly one million free songs by the time it's all said and done. So, I guess I'm promoting Pepsi. Moreso Rock Band than Pepsi.
For those of you who don't really like Pepsi or just don't drink soda at all, buy a Pepsi anyway. Give it to that creepy homeless guy on the streets, but be sure to keep the cap if you win. Even Frodo drinks Pepsi. That means you should all drink it too. Peer pressure!!
