With the newest release of Madworld for the Wii. Nintendo has started to receive some very unwanted attention. Yahoo News has reported about how Nintendo's family friendly rank is being questioned.
The Wii has multiple titles many are family friendly, but they have also had others that are mature audiences including: House of the Dead Overkill, Manhunt 2, and Call of Duty World at War. Just because a platform chooses to add a mature title does not mean it has no intention of keeping with what it has been known for. They have properly rated the game a mature title. They never intended the game to be for younger audiences. They are trying to cater to multiple gamers.
Nintendo has been around for years, and has always done their best to be not only family oriented, but also to have games for different categories or genres of gamers. To attack them for creating a game to help attract another fan base is biased. If this game were to have come out on the Xbox 360 or PS3, there would have been very little controversy. But God forbid Nintendo does it.
In my opinion, Nintendo is keeping up with the times, and is trying to cater to as many gamers as possible. When Call of Duty World at War came out there was no big whoopah about it. It seems like people are just looking for something else to blame things on and to raise a stink about. Madworld is properly rated, so leave it alone. Quit attacking a company for trying to expand their business.
Please Would thou back off!?!
