
It's official Street Fighter IV fans. Street Fighter IV will have downloadable content starting the day it releases. Capcom has released information about the new Championship Mode expansion pack. The new content mode will add new gameplay and features to the game.
It contains:
- Replay Mode - A way for you to record, upload, and download matches that you have played. So you are able to share your awesome victories with friends, and the Street Fighter IV community. You can check out the top tiered fighter matches, or leave voter feedback for other.
- New Points System - There will be two new point systems that will measure your skill in both Championship Points and Tournament Points.
- Enhanced Tournament Matching System - Where your skill level decides the matchmaking for the tournament match, and has improved it for beginners and mid-level players. This will help people to play in tournaments that are more suited to your gaming.
There will also be additional costume expansion packs. That way you can customize your favorite fighters. Each pack offers a new costume for your favorite character. The packs are grouped by themes, and will cost around 320 MS points for Xbox 360 users and around $4 for PS3 users after the launch of the game. Each pack will be released one week apart, starting with the release date of Street Fighter IV.
The release date for each pack are as follows:
- 2/17 - Brawler Pack that includes alternate costumes for: Zangeif, E. HOnda, Rufus, El Furete, and Abel.
- 2/24 - Femme Fatale Pack that includes alternate costumes for:
- 3/3 - Shoruken Pack that includes alternate costumes for: Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Gouken, and Dan.
- 3/10 - Shadowloo Pack that includes alternate costumes for: Seth, M. Bison, Sagat, Balrog, and Vega.
