Many may remember the original Bionic Commando from the NES. It was a favorite to many of the 8-bit gamers with the first launch in 1988. Well, Capcom has finally put all rumors and speculations to rest by announcing the Bionic Commando release date.
The Xbox 360 and PS3 will release in May 2009, and the PC will be available within the following months. With only a few months away, that gives fans a short wait to view the newest rendition.
For those unfamiliar with the game, Bionic Commando stars Nathan Spencer who is a government operative that has been betrayed and falsely imprisoned. Who would do this to him? The people that he faithfully served without question. On the day that he is scheduled to be executed for the false allegations, a weapon detonates and causes a massive earthquake. With Military findings, they know they only have one option for hope – Nathan Spencer.
One of the favorite features from the original game is the Bionic Arm and the swing mechanics will return, along with a variety of new ways to take out enemies. The new game of Bionic Commando will feature Mike Patton, the lead singer of Faith No More, as the voice of Nathan Spencer. Things are shaping up for Bionic Commando, so keep an eye out on this game. It looks to be a great one.
Capcom has a great few months ahead of them with the release of a number of big name titles: Street Fighter IV, Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop, and Resident Evil 5. So look out Capcom fans, many great things are coming your way.
