Rumors:

-In a classic case of he said, she said: IGN has reported that "sources" confirm that the one talked about Indiana Jones next-gen game has been canceled. To confirm the rumors Joystiq contacted LucasArts and they denied rumors stating, "LucasArts remains absolutely committed to the Indiana Jones franchise."

-Video game market analyst, Michael Patcher of Wedbush Morgan predicts a price drop for both the PS3 and the Xbox 360. He expects the PS3 to drop by $100 this Spring and the Xbox follow suit after. There is no end in sight for the Wii's reign over the market, don't expect it get to get lower than $249 anytime in 2009.

-According the several games retailers in Great Britain, the game KillZone won't be reaching the UK until 2 days after the release date for the rest of Europe, February 25th.
The Buzz:
-A government employee in Japan has accidentally leaked a few gigs of files to the internet. The files include personal, business and government topics, everything from pics of girlfriends, to embarrassing poems, and even an Xbox game proposal. The employee apparently opened a file that infected his computer with a trojan virus. As for the Xbox proposal found in one of the files leaked, not too much is known. The game was to be called Katana and was submitted back in 2002. Sounds a little like Red Steel to me.

Announcements:

-Movie based games usually fail to transfer over their sucsess but one of the most critically acclaimed movies has not only made a successful game but now a sequel. The Godfather video game franchise is being developed by EA and is set to be released on all current next gen systems. The box art for the sequel has now been released.
-Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars has been given an 18+ adult only rating. Such a stern rating is rare to say the least for Nintendo and almost unheard of for the family oriented Nintendo DS.
-A new Spore expansion pack, Galactic Adventures, is officially due on March 17, 2009.
