Rumors:
-A while back I posted about the company who makes the Lego games looking for designers to help make another game in the series. Well it looks like that game just might be Lego Harry Potter. These rumors started after sources told CVG.com about the game being in development.
-Jasper, the new motherboard for the Xbox 360 has apparently been leaked. Some specs of the leaked motherboard are: it has a 65nm graphics processing unit, 150W power supply and a 256MB flash memory chip. This is from Gizmodo.com.
The Buzz:
Nintendo has been denied it's request to patent the term "Wii Remote". The denial came from the U.S. Patent Office this week. It was denied due to the fact that remote is a common word and already exists. This isn't the first of Nintendo's legal troubles either. The patent for "Wiimote" already exists as well. The company who owns that name has been suing Nintendo. Is Nintendo in the wrong for trying to trademark these terms?
Announcements:
-The past couple of months we have heard all types rumors about the new Ghostbusters game. Activision dropped the game from it's lineup and all hope seemed lost. However, Atari has picked it up and has announced that the release date for the game will be in June 2009.
-One of the most anticipated games for the PS3, Gran Turismo 5 has finally been dated. Dated twice rather, it will most likely be coming to Japan Q3 of 2009 and to America and Europe during the Holiday season of 09. Looks like we'll still be waiting a while for this game.
-The Spike TV Video Game Awards have a new host for this year's show: Jack Black. The show airs live on December 14th. I'm most likely going so expect to see pictures of the event if I do.
