While it is now certain Ghostbusters the game has been dropped by Sierra, subsidiary of Activision, it has been confirmed by Dan Aykroyd, who has been working closely on the project, that the development of the near-finished game has been picked up by Atari.

The bad news? Aykroyd is quoted saying the game is "about a year" away from release.

At least it is good to know the game is still going and will get published at this rate, and I guess only one question remains: Next fall.... who you gonna call?

Well, at least it's still coming. There's already way too many awesome games coming this Fall, it will take me at least a year to play through them all.

it will be a good idea to freeze myself and defrost myself next fall :) but yes, is still good news knowing that the game is going to be released some day.

I guess it's better of that it is getting released next year since this holiday season is stacked with quality games.
