Warning:The Force Unleashed demo may cause massive nerd happiness.

More after the jump!

So as announced, SW: The Force Unleashed demo has hit XBL and the PSN! My excitement as the demo downloaded, caused me to feel as if time were going incredibly slow. Finally, it finished downloading but I was then inconvenienced by the whole installation process. Ugh, I had to restrain myself from yelling at my poor Playstaion 3.

As the game started up I chose to run through the tutorial real quick to insure I executed mad Force skills. It took a whole two minutes and I was already familiar with the controls. Easy enough right? Now I came to my difficulty choices and I quickly decided to start with the easiest and play them all. When they say apprentice they mean it. It is almost too easy at times since it felt as if the Stormtroopers didn't even get a shot in.

The first thing I noticed in game is how amazing the controls are. I was very skeptical about all the force moves but they did a great job at making them very simple yet fully capable of some pretty uber combos. You can pull down Tie Fighters and smash crowds of Stormtroopers with ease. The demo takes place in one of the first levels and really lets you explore the wide range of combat awesomeness you can do as the Apprentice. What I was most impressed with was how amazing it was to throw objects extremely far across your map... or into a wall. Either way, the Force Grip is the coolest move you've got in my opinion and the way it works is really flawless as well. Although I will say you don't get much of a look into the story line, it almost doesn't matter because you are too busy smiling from all the epic Force moves you've just used.

Overall, the demo was short but very sweet. I think if the full title is even half as good as the demo, it will still be pretty amazing. I was extremely impressed with the demo and it has filled me with even more anticipation. If you haven't already downloaded this and tried it out... you are seriously nuts and need to do so now. If you enjoy Star Wars or just a good action game then you will get a kick out of this demo. September cannot come soon enough now!

I downloaded the demo in the morning and haven't stopped playing it since. I spent a good 30 minutes just force gripping the TIE bomber that's in the hangar.

And one of the coolest things I found you can do is force grip a stormtrooper and swing him around like a rag doll, and then smash his head on the ground and ceiling. Once he's a little beaten up just send his ass flying to the oher side of the room.

AHHHHHHHHH....I'm gonna go play again.

You know... I've been playing like crazy, and I just can't get enough of it... but like I wish there was more to the demo.

I love how you can mix force lighting in with your lightsaber attack. Bad fuckin' ass.

I downloaded it for free from the PlayStation Network. Free is better than $50 a year.

Demo is amazing. The controls flow extremely well. Left me begging for more.

The demo was awesome! I gotta love a game where I'm a Jedi and the last weapon I want to use is the lightsaber!
