vE3D.COM has put up 5 narrated videos, for a grand total of 20 minutes of mouth-watering Fallout 3 gameplay footage, which you can find here.

Fallout 3 is set to release at the end of October and is being heralded as "Oblivion with guns." Judging by the amount of fun I had with Oblivion, this will most certainly be a title I pick up on release day. From screenshots and video, and what I've read of the plot, it seems much like a cross between Bioshock and Oblivion, two stellar titles. I thought the mutant monsters in the video came off as a bit cheesy, and would've much rather contended with outlaw gangs and radiation-poisoned whack-jobs soley. Also, I am not too big a fan of the UI, which looks outdated.

However, it will be a must have title, for me at least, this fall when it releases.

its too bad about the zombies. I frickin hate zombies.
beautiful graphics though.

Oh cool, I downloaded this in 5 segments over Live a few days ago. They made my mouth water enough to preorder the game, which is something I NEVER do. I actually love what (I think) they're going for with the here; an alternate future as imagined from a 50's perspective. I agree that the crab monsters and robot taken straight from Forbidden Planet look cheesy, but I think it's part of the charm.

@holiday, awe... I love zombies (well, love to fear them)

@greensabre, the 50s perspective, which was present in Bioshock as well, is a huge plus for me. I love that feeling, its an element that is very rare in gameplay , and holds that certain je ne sais que.

I'm not going to watch it. I think I'll wait for the game. All i need to know is from gamespot to give it a 8.5+ rating then I'm happy

^^Oh c'mon klasco, you HAVE to see the pneumatic fist. It's somewhere about halfway through I think, in the supermarket.

sonyboy69

ok so guess im the only 1 who saw this but Navie , Bioshock is made by 2K

it seems much like a cross between Bioshock and Oblivion, two stellar Bethesda titles.
Navie

@sonyboy, hmm. my apologies. I've not played the game in a while, and I drew a connection between the 50s splicer adverts in Bioshock with those in Fallout.

my bad ^_^

DidIBreakIt

looks pretty good, ESPECIALLY the graphics and i dont see a reason why Fallout wont live up to the hype its gotten so far
