Every once in a while I like something so much that I decide I want to immerse myself in it and tell the world. Last year it was the ECA; yes, I still love them and work with them as often as I can. This year is a new social network for gamers that is trying to take it to the next level. Given all the hype, I decided to give it a shot and sign up for beta testing. So far, I am falling in love!
The site is HoopleDoople and so far I am having a blast. It is a great combination of our favorites, YouTube and MySpace. The best part of course is that is for adult gamers. Yes that is correct you have to 18 years old to join the site! That is the best part for me, it is bad enough I have to listen to 12 year silliness while playing Gears of War online, I dont want to deal with them more than I have to and the site gives me that option.

I had a chance to talk with the owner of the site, Ryan L., and he stated that more contest are forthcoming and with equally large prize pots. I asked Ryan what his goals were with the site and he stated he wanted a place where the average gamer could just cut loose and have fun; a "virtual, adult playground." And this is just the beginning.
