For those of you who are unfamiliar with Spore, it is described as "massively single-player online game". "What does that mean?" you ask, well I couldn't tell you. Spore is designed by Will Wright and is being launched under EA. To be frank, you play God, not in a sacrilegious way but in a "The Sims" way, complete with open-ended game play. You start with a unicellular organism and in time it develops into a land walking multicellular creature that with development will form societies, colonies and eventually a space faring culture. The game will be released in America on September 7, 2008.
Those lucky enough to have this have not been wasting their times. We all knew it was only a matter of time until Murloc's were made. That's right, there is a 9 minute how-to to make your own Murloc from scratch. Mudkips are next I'm sure.
If you aren't one of the lucky few who have this already the demo is available on Tuesday. You can purchase it from Spore.com for $9.99. There is also a free demo of this but it will only have 25% of the available content in the $9.99 version. The creatures you create will help populate the Spore universe. It also comes with tools to help make avatars, take screen captures, record video and has YouTube functionality.
