A brand new look into the long awaited title, SPORE

SPORE, for those of you who don't know, is a game from the mind of Will Wright, creator of The Sims, in which you take a single cell organism all the way to advanced civilization. As shown on the SPORE official website, the stages will be defined as the following:

  • Tidal Pool Phase
  • Creature Phase
  • Tribal Phase
  • Civilization Phase
  • Space Phase

The entire basis of your world comes from the decisions you make and how those evolve your creature. Additionally, you will be able to share and show off your creations online and download other people's creations into your own world.

The game is going to release for both the PC/Mac and the Nintendo DS, each version will be uniquely crafted to fit the specific platform. There is going to also be a Wii version as well, but currently it is still in the prototype phase and will not release with the other two versions. The launch date is going to be September of this year, but be on the lookout for the trial creature editor that will be available as a free downlod this summer.

Interesting.. Except not! Haha, I really don't think I could enjoy a game like that, tbh. I can see how some would like it though. Looks pretty... I could probably stare at it for a while.

Finding Nemo is exactly what I thought of when I watched the clip.

Lol, a certain element of it will be cutesy and cartoony, because it is from the maker of the Sims. However, the idea that you can take a one celled organism all the wqay up through an entire civilization... the game is going to be epic.
