Competitive gaming has always been a tiny weakness of mine. Though I don't compete anymore I do still like to keep tabs on what is going on in the competitive side of gaming..simply because its like a whole different world. Though I have only ever been to Major League Gaming Tournaments I did hope to one day attend a WSVG Tournament...but sadly that won't happen. But there is good news for a lot of the professional gamers who attended WSVG and other gaming circuits.
Major League Gaming has partnered with HP --Hewlett Packard-- and Blizzard Entertainment to give those competitive WoW players a chance to show their stuff. The computers that will be used are the HP Blackbird 002 gaming PC, this PC was created specifically with gamers in mind, it is highly configurable and features liquid cooling and innovative thermal chambers to keep critical components running cool while running next generation games or demanding computer tasks.
Major League Gaming had over 12,000 players and fans at the Meadowlands opener this year. So they made the decision to bring PC Gaming in the mix starting at MLG San Diego on June 14-15th, with prize money accumulating to $20,000. For more info on this news release click here.
