Sid Meier announced he's bringing one of the greatest stratagy games ever made to the next gen consoles (PS3 and 360). He was quoted saying, "Civilization Revolution is the game I've always wanted to make! We are excited to take advantage of the power of next generation consoles and the ingenuity of handhelds, to create a great and unique strategy game for newcomers to the series, as well as the millions of fans around the world who enjoy Civilization on the PC."
Even though it's on the consoles, it doesn't lose the original feel of Civilization games.

I'm extremely excited about this title, and is probably a title I will buy for the PS3 over the 360. When I first saw the trailer play, I got chills. It's that epic. You can find the trailer on Civilization Revolution's Offical website, here.


You're given complete control to rule as a brutal tyrant or a peaceful saint, and even be able to play on XboxLive and PSN with this title. It was announced that there will be ranked games, full online play, and leaderboards.

Who's pumped for this game? I certianly am. And once more informaton is released, I'll post again.

This is great news! I think it will be great to play those over one of the online networks! Personally I am with you, get the PS3 version. My reason for getting that version though is because I the chance to use mouse and keyboard is much higher on that system than the 360 version.

Well I actually first saw the trailer play on a ps3. I actually didn't know it was coming out on the 360 until I looked it up. I was all excited about a good exclusive title coming to the ps3.

So I'll still pretend :)

Heh, I think that playing a PC native game with controls over a controller would be quite hard...I remember trying to do that with Warcraft II on PS1. It sucked. So...I went and got a Playstation mouse. Made my gaming experience much better.

Look at it this way: Microsoft has stated that for 360 games, there will be no mouse and keyboard support. Imagine playing a FPS on Live where everyone has precision aim with a mouse and keyboard. Most people on the 360 have just the controller and a headset. Extreme unbalance would be in just about any game you played in that particular FPS.

Sony seems to be going a different route with what they will let developers can do with their games on PS3, including mouse and keyboard support. My main example for this, the PS3 version of Unreal Tournament III allows for mouse and keyboard, and the upcoming release of it for 360, Microsoft has said no to mouse and keyboard support for Unreal Tournament III.

idunno games like this on consoles just dont work for me. The controls are never good. PC i would buy it on unless PS3 version supports mouse and keyboard. In that case then i would get it on ps3
